Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the overall production operations ensuring optimal productivity, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness, while meeting customer requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute production strategies to meet organizational objectives and customer demands.
Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes and resources for maximum efficiency.
Drive daily production targets, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost constraints.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, cycle time, downtime, and manpower utilization.
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with planning, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other departments for smooth operations.
Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Review and optimize production schedules, inventory levels, and workforce planning.
Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to build a high-performance culture.
Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Prepare and present production reports and MIS to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial preferred); Master’s degree is a plus.
10–15 years of experience in production management, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience in high-volume, quality-focused manufacturing environments (automotive, FMCG, electronics, etc.).
Proficient in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
